August 10 - New Family Orientation Day
August 11 - First day of school
Back to School Night dates coming soon!
If your child is not starting on the first day of school, please let your section's office know so that they can prepare for your child's arrival.
Late Start on the First Day of School!
Each Tuesday is a late start day. On the first day of school, we will begin at 9:00 AM. Buses will run one hour later than the usual schedule. We recommend that you arrive at school by 8:45 AM on the first day to give your child enough time to find the place they need to be.
Classes will resume at 8:00 AM on other days of the week.
Parking Lot
There are 2 parking lots for parents, across the street from the main entrance, with solar panel shades, and another one across the street from the long campus wall on Abdul Rahman Khalifah Street. They are marked with ACS signs. If the parking lot barrier is closed, please enter the code 2014# to enter the parking lot.
Orientation Day is a great opportunity for students and parents to meet principals and student ambassadors who will talk about ACS and answer any questions you may have to make sure your family has a smooth start to the new school year.
If your child will not be able to attend the Orientation Day, let your section office know so that we can make arrangements for your child's first day at ACS.

ACS integrates technology as a learning tool across all divisions. Device expectations vary by grade level and are outlined below. Click here for the Laptop Buyer's Guide
EYP–Grade 3:
In EYP through Grade 3, iPads are issued by ACS as a guided learning tool, not as a primary mode of instruction or independent screen time.
Grade 4:
Students are issued an ACS Chromebook.
Grade 5 (BYOD):
Students bring a family-owned laptop as part of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.
Devices support access to learning resources at school and at home.
Smartwatches are not permitted in Elementary School.
Middle & High School follows a 1:1 laptop program. Technology is integrated across all subject areas and is considered an essential learning tool.
Students are expected to bring a fully charged laptop to school each day.
Students may bring a phone to school. From 7:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., phones must remain silent and stored in backpacks. Phones seen during the school day will be confiscated.
Appropriate use of devices is expected at all times. Students must acknowledge the Responsible Use Policy (RUP) at the beginning of the school year to access the school network and technology resources. The RUP is outlined in the Family Handbook.
